imagination and sometimes our greed. <strong><span style=\"color: #2FAC66;\">The Tartessos treasure is one of them<\/span><\/strong>.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-2456857 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"2456857\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>Tartessos was an ancient culture that <strong><span style=\"color: #2FAC66;\">dominated western Andalusia<\/span><\/strong>, with great stability and prosperity dominating the trade in the area. Its roots are not clear, for some it was an Indo-European tribe that emigrated to the Iberian Peninsula, for others it was the same Turdetans, for another a culture that emerged on the banks of the Guadalquivir, and for others a reminiscence of a great culture that could have been Atlantis. <strong>The medallion found by Professor Juan de Mata Carriazo<\/strong>, the &#8220;Bronce Carriazo&#8221; directly relates Tartessian art and the native of the Hindustani area.<\/p>\n<p>The Tartessians operated from Tharsis in the province of Huelva and were capable of trade, having dealings with the Phoenicians who had settled in the peninsula, trading in furs, purple dyes, metals&#8230; Their city centre enjoyed great prosperity, with built houses and sanitation systems. But the Phoenicians tried to strangle the <strong><span style=\"color: #2FAC66;\">Tartessian economy<\/span><\/strong> by reducing the demand for the products they traded with, which would lead to a reduction in their value&#8230; The Tartessian king, Argantonio, negotiated a commercial treaty with the Phoenicians, threatening to expel them from the territory, but they refused&#8230; The winds of war were blowing\u2026<\/p>\n<p>Argantonio <strong>established a plan of attack<\/strong> that would be to divide his army in two and to assault Gades and H\u00edspalis -C\u00e1diz and Seville, respectfully-. He would lead one army and the other would be commanded by his son Terion. Phoenicians decided to attack the capital, <strong><span style=\"color: #2FAC66;\">the city of Tartesos<\/span><\/strong>. They went up the Guadalquivir in their ships and saw how the city was unguarded, the armies had marched and had no guard. They attacked and set fire to the city&#8230; It was a massacre in which old people, women and children, who were the only inhabitants, died.<\/p>\n<p>Argantonio&#8217;s army saw the glow of the flames and understood the Phoenician attack, <strong>the Tartessian cavalry advanced while the soldiers<\/strong>, on foot, ran to the capital. Pero los fenicios pretendieron estrangular la econom\u00eda tart\u00e9sica reduciendo la demanda de los productos con los que comerciaban, ello originar\u00eda una depreciaci\u00f3n de su valor\u2026<\/div>\n<div>El rey tart\u00e9sico, <strong><span style=\"color: #2FAC66;\">Argantoni<\/span><\/strong>o negoci\u00f3 con los fenicios el tratado comercial amenaz\u00e1ndolos con expulsarlos del territorio, pero estos se negaron\u2026 Soplaban vientos de guerra\u2026<\/div>\n<div>Argantonio estableci\u00f3 un plan de ataque que ser\u00eda dividir su ej\u00e9rcito en dos y <strong><span style=\"color: #2FAC66;\">asaltar Gades e H\u00edspalis \u2013C\u00e1diz y Sevilla<\/span><\/strong>, respectivamente-. Al frente de un ej\u00e9rcito ir\u00eda \u00e9l mismo, y el otro ser\u00eda comandado por su hijo Teri\u00f3n.<\/div>\n<div>Los fenicios por su parte decidieron atacar la capital, <strong>la ciudad de Tartessos<\/strong>, subieron por el Guadalquivir en sus barcos y comprobaron c\u00f3mo la ciudad estaba desguarnecida, los ej\u00e9rcitos hab\u00edan marchado y no ten\u00eda guardia. Atacaron e incendiaron la ciudad\u2026<\/div>\n<div>Fue una masacre en la que murieron ancianos, mujeres y ni\u00f1os, que eran los \u00fanicos pobladores que se encontraban en ella.<\/div>\n<div>El ej\u00e9rcito de Argantonio divis\u00f3 el resplandor de las llamas y comprendi\u00f3 el ataque fenicio, <strong>la caballer\u00eda tart\u00e9sica<\/strong> se adelant\u00f3 mientras la infanter\u00eda, a pie, corr\u00eda a la capital. From this elevated location they could see the whole Phoenician city, the river and the ships of the invading army. The custom said that the <span style=\"color: #2FAC66;\"><strong>king of Tartesos<\/strong><\/span> could not enter into battle wearing the royal jewels and as he had no heir they decided to hide them in a clay pot that they hid in the forest and when they returned they would take them again .<\/p>\n<p>After arousing the<strong> Tartessian soldiers<\/strong>, they started to march in the heat of battle&#8230; Terion died in it but they won and Hippalis fell next to the primitive culture.
