Discover the essence of Ronda on a walking tour through its impressive historic centre, where history, landscapes and tradition come together at every turn. This guided tour will allow you to explore the city’s most iconic sites while enjoying unique views of the Tajo and Guadalevín rivers.
We will start at Plaza de la Merced, the meeting point to enter the heart of Ronda. From there, we will cross Alameda del Tajo, a pleasant walk surrounded by nature and spectacular viewpoints. We will continue along the outside of the Plaza de Toros, one of the oldest and most monumental bullrings in Spain, before reaching one of the city’s great icons: the Puente Nuevo, from where we will cross the Guadalevín River and contemplate the impressive Tajo Gorge.
Along the route, we will visit such notable sites as the Alameda del Tajo viewpoint, the Ronda viewpoint, the Convent of Santo Domingo, the María Auxiliadora viewpoint and the historic Mondragón Palace, former residence of the Muslim kings. We will end the tour at the Church of Santa María la Mayor, one of the most important and historically significant churches in the city.
