It is a natural environment with oaks and holm oaks where the Iberian pig, also known as acorn-fed pig, thrives. The pigs feed on acorns and other products from these trees. In this region there is a great gastronomic tradition of Iberian ham.
We will enjoy the landscape that this biosphere reserve offers us, making several stops at emblematic places such as the Almonaster la Real mosque, the Medieval Castle of Aracena or the Peña de Arias Montano.
La Dehesa de Huelva produces a wide variety of Iberian hams, including: Serrano Ham, Acorn-fed Iberico Ham and Jam. So we will have the opportunity to enjoy the typical gastronomy and taste the star dish of the Dehesa de Huelva: the famous Iberian ham .
During the excursion we will also visit the town of Rio Tinto , known for its mines and the characteristic reddish color of the water of the Tinto River. An environment that seems to come from another galaxy, as if it were the moon or Mars, where NASA carries out multiple tests due to its extreme conditions.
