Day trip to Aveiro and
Costa Nova from Porto

Discover some of the most charming destinations in northern Portugal on a comprehensive tour brimming with coastal scenery, history and tradition. We’ll set off from Porto at 9:00 AM in a comfortable minibus, accompanied by an expert guide who will share interesting facts about the region throughout the journey.

The first stop will be in Costa Nova, famous for its iconic striped houses, which were once used by fishermen and have now become one of the most photographed spots in Portugal. You’ll have time to take a stroll along the beach, breathe in the Atlantic breeze and discover the unique charm of this coastal area.

We will continue on to Aveiro, known as the ‘Venice of Portugal’. Here you can take an optional trip on a moliceiro, a traditional boat that cruises through the canals of Aveiro for around 45 minutes, offering a unique view of the city.

Next, we’ll enjoy a guided walking tour of Aveiro’s historic centre, taking in its Art Nouveau buildings, the fish market, the main canals and Aveiro Cathedral. You’ll also have some free time for lunch, when you can sample the famous ovos moles, a traditional local sweet, or explore the city at your own pace.

In the afternoon, we will head to Válega to visit the impressive Church of Válega, renowned for its spectacular tiled façade depicting religious scenes in great detail and colour.

The day ends by the sea, in Miramar, with a stop at the unique Chapel of Senhor da Pedra, built in the 17th century on the rocks overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. A unique place where history and nature come together, perfect for taking unforgettable photographs.

We will return to Oporto, arriving at around 16.30 h, after a day packed with experiences, culture and unique scenery.
