Just a few kilometres from Valencia, the Albufera Natural Park offers a unique landscape where nature, history and Valencian traditions intertwine. This sanctuary of biodiversity, with its calm waters and green rice paddies, is one of Valencia’s most iconic natural areas and the perfect setting for a unique experience.
Regarded as one of the most valuable wetlands in the Mediterranean, the Albufera provides an exceptional habitat for numerous species of flora and fauna. Its extensive rice fields, which are closely linked to the origins of Valencian paella, form a distinctive landscape that reflects the tradition and identity of this area.
In this ‘Express’ version, we’ve shortened the walk so that you can enjoy the highlights of the Albufera in a more comfortable way, with the tour specially designed for the summer months. The excursion begins with a stop at the Gola de Pujol viewpoint, one of the most iconic spots from which to admire the landscape of the Albufera and its tranquil waters.
Next, we’ll head to El Palmar, a small traditional village closely linked to the lives of the fishermen and farmers of the Albufera. There, we’ll visit a Valencian ‘barraca’, one of the most characteristic examples of the area’s traditional architecture.
To round off the experience, we’ll enjoy a boat trip around the Albufera, gliding across the calm waters of the lake and discovering this unique Valencian landscape from a different perspective.
This experience lasts approximately 2 hours and half to 3 hours, allowing you to explore some of the Albufera’s most special spots in comfort and without the need for long walks.
