We will pick you up by bus with our guide at the chosen time and place to start the excursion to Gibraltar. During the bus ride you will enjoy the journey along Malaga and the Costa del Sol while our guide will tell you anecdotes and curiosities of this British colony.
Once we arrive at our destination, to cross the border between La Linea and Gibraltar, we will first go through passport control in La Linea, remember to check your documents to enter Gibraltar. It is compulsory to carry a valid and original identity document / passport to cross the border. Photocopies will not be accepted and cannot be carried on a mobile device. After showing your documents, we will continue to the centre of Gibraltar, enjoying the sights and local history.
We will divide into groups to a Minibus to start the visit in which we will travel around the Rock of Gibraltar, enjoying a panoramic tour of Gibraltar for an hour and a half. During the journey we will go through tunnels and small cliffs over the sea that lead to the southernmost point of Europe, stopping for 15 minutes at the viewpoints of the Point of Europe, you will be able to see the Strait of Gibraltar, from where you can see Africa and Europe. A little further on, we continue our climb up the rock to access the interior of the impressive Cueva de San Miguel, where legend has it that the caves themselves were believed to be the Gates of Hell, an entrance to the underworld.
To finish the tour we will go to see the area where the Monkeys live. An animal endemic to Gibraltar, the Barbary Macaque that lives in the wild within the Rock of Gibraltar Nature Reserve, also known as the Rock of Calpe or Mount Calpe. A visit to the Rock of Gibraltar is a visit to another country and a unique amalgam of cultures in Europe. After the panoramic tour, you will have free time for lunch, such as tasting the Fish & Chips at The Bastion Restaurant, or shopping in the commercial area of the Rock, highlighting Main Street. At the time indicated by our guide we will reconvene for the return journey to the same pick-up point.
