Regarded as one of the most valuable wetlands in the Mediterranean, the Albufera provides an exceptional haven for numerous species of flora and fauna. Its extensive rice fields, closely linked to the origins of Valencian paella, create a landscape that changes with the seasons, offering scenes of great beauty at any time of year. Furthermore, the traditional way of life of fishermen and farmers remains very much alive, preserving customs and ways of life that form part of Valencia’s cultural heritage.
The excursion begins in the pristine dunes of El Saler, where you’ll enjoy views of the Mediterranean and the native flora. Next, you’ll arrive at the Albufera lake, the largest in Spain, to learn about its historical and ecological significance. The adventure concludes in El Palmar, where you can admire the traditional architecture and finish with a boat trip on the Albufera to witness the most beautiful sunset in Valencia.
