Visit the Halcón Winery

Explore the world of wine in Lebrija, a charming town south of Seville, known for its history and winemaking tradition. At the heart of this locality is Bodegas Halcón, one of the oldest wineries, founded in 1711 as Bodegas Marqués de San Gil.

We will begin the visit with an introduction to the history of the winery. During the tour, you will explore the ancient production rooms, which include wine presses, vinegar factories, and the cellars where the wines are aged.

You will discover the meticulous process of crafting the winery’s wines, such as Fino, Amontillado, and Oloroso, all produced using traditional methods like the “criaderas y soleras” system. This system ensures that each wine retains the desired characteristics across vintages.

At Bodegas Halcón, the main grape variety is Palomino, known as the queen of southern Spain. This white grape is grown in various locations, including Lebrija, and is essential for producing our white wines, from Manzanilla to the most elegant and generous styles.

At the end of the visit, you will have the opportunity to taste a selection of the finest wines from Bodegas Halcón. This tasting will be complemented by a sampling of the region’s delicious cuisine, along with different pairings, allowing you to fully appreciate the fusion between wine and Andalusian cooking.
