Enjoy a day trip to Caminito del Rey in Málaga. The tour will start at the agreed meeting point and time, where we’ll collect you in our coach. We’ll make a short stop in Ardales for breakfast before continuing on to the northern entrance to Caminito del Rey.
Our guide, who is passionate about history of this incredible place, will tell you about the history and the secrets of the area around Caminito del Rey, as well as the reasons behind the construction of the footbridges between the gorges of Gaitanes and the Gaitanejo. The road is around 7.7km long and was opened by King Alfonso XIII in 1925. Over the course of approximately 4 hours, you will walk some 4,8km from the northern entrance (located in Ardales), enjoying the views of the Guadalhorce River Dam , before descending via the famous ‘chocolate staircase’.
We will then make our way through the gorges to the southern entrance (located at the Chorro Reservoir), via the footbridges, which are almost 3 km long and 1 metre wide. We’ll round off this incredible adventure from a height of up to 105 metres on the suspension bridge in the Gaitanes Gorge. At the end of the route, the coach will be waiting to take you back to the starting point in Málaga or on the Costa del Sol.
