Enjoy an excursion to Caminito del Rey in Malaga. The tour will start at the chosen meeting point and time, where we will pick you up with our bus. We will make a short stop in Ardales to have breakfast and continue to the north access of the Caminito.
Our guide, passionate about the history of this incredible place, will tell you the history and secrets of the Caminito del Rey environment, as well as the reasons that led to the construction of the footbridges between the Gaitanes and Gaitanejo gorges. The path is about 7.7km long and was inaugurated by King Alfonso XIII in 1925. During approximately 4 hours, you will walk about 4.8km from the northern access (located in Ardales), enjoying the views of the Presa del Río Guadalhorce and descend the famous ‘chocolate staircase’.
Then we will go into the gorges to the south access (located at the Pantano del Chorro), along the pedestrian walkways almost 3kms long and 1 metre wide. We will finish this incredible adventure from the heights, up to 105 metres, of the suspension bridge in the canyon of the Gaitanes Gorge. At the end of the tour, the bus will be waiting for you to take you back to the starting point in Malaga or Costa del Sol.
