Experience the essence of the south: equestrian shows, wineries and beaches in Cadiz
The province of Cádiz is one of the most fascinating in Andalusia, full of contrasts between tradition, art and landscape. On this day trip from Seville, we will discover two of its great treasures: Jerez de la Frontera, the cradle of wine and Andalusian horses, and Cádiz, the oldest city in Europe bathed by the Atlantic Ocean.
Our journey begins by crossing the fertile fields of the Guadalquivir Valley until we reach Jerez de la Frontera, famous for its wine-making tradition. We will visit one of its prestigious sherry wineries, where we will learn about the sherry-making process and enjoy a tasting of several local varieties.
Next, we will enjoy an unforgettable experience at the Royal Andalusian School of Equestrian Art, where we will attend the famous Andalusian horse show. A truly world-renowned equestrian ballet, combining the elegance of the Andalusian horse, Spanish music and traditional 18th-century costumes.
After this impressive display, we will head towards the Costa de la Luz to visit the magical city of Cadiz. Accompanied by our local guide, we will stroll through the historic centre, admiring such emblematic sites as Cadiz Cathedral, Plaza de San Juan de Dios and the picturesque Barrio de la Viña neighbourhood.
We will enjoy free time to have lunch at one of its typical bars or restaurants, where you can savour the exquisite cuisine of Cadiz, with fresh fish and seafood and excellent Andalusian wines.
After lunch, you will have the opportunity to continue exploring on your own or simply relax by the sea before heading back to Seville.
A full day filled with Andalusian culture, flavour and tradition, combining the best of Jerez and Cádiz: wines, horses and the sea.
