Cordoba was the capital of the Caliphate of Cordoba during the Muslim period and one of the most important cities in the province of Betica during the Roman Empire, hence its great historical and cultural legacy that should be known.
History has left in the city of Cordoba some architectural wonders such as the Alcazar, the Roman Bridge or the Jewish Quarter, but undoubtedly the jewel in the crown is the great Mosque-Cathedral of Cordoba.
In Seville you will be picked up by our guide from Naturanda and we will head for Cordoba, where we will arrive in just over an hour and a half to begin a visit you will never forget.
We will walk through one of the most beautiful environments in the world, through its most emblematic streets, past the most important monuments of the city and learn about the history and cultural aspects of the city.
Through the narrow streets of the Jewish Quarter we will visit the most beautiful Patios Cordobeses. These patios are full of details, colourful flowers and have a unique aroma. They will also give us the opportunity to take magnificent photographs as a souvenir of the incomparable excursion.
We will have time to enjoy the famous gastronomy of Cordoba, where the good local wine and the world famous Andalusian dishes such as salmorejo or oxtail stand out.
After a well-deserved lunch break and some shopping, we will visit the Mosque-Cathedral of Cordoba, the main attraction of this tour.
This impressive monument became the second most important temple in the Muslim world after Mecca itself. Its naves, doors, ornamental details and endless rows of arches leave no one indifferent; it is a journey through time to be appreciated and savoured as it deserves, a festival for the senses.
We will have enough time to visit this UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the most visited monuments in Spain. After the long day’s excursion you will be able to rest in your hotel and recover your strength for the next day, which will be no less exciting.
During the second day you will have free time to discover at your leisure other corners of the city of Cordoba, go shopping or simply enjoy strolling through its streets. At around 17:00 h. we will head back to Seville where we will arrive at approximately 19:00 h. after having enjoyed a magnificent getaway.
