Discover the essence of Ronda on a walking tour through its impressive historic centre, where history, landscapes and tradition come together at every turn. This guided tour will allow you to explore the city’s most iconic sites while enjoying unique views of the Tajo and Guadalevín rivers.
We will start at Plaza de la Merced, the meeting point to venture into the heart of Ronda. From there, we will cross the Alameda del Tajo, a pleasant walk surrounded by nature and spectacular viewpoints. We will continue skirting the outside of the bullring, one of the oldest and most monumental in Spain, before reaching one of the city’s great icons: the Puente Nuevo bridge, from where we will cross the Guadalevín river and contemplate the impressive Tajo gorge.
Along the route, we will visit such notable sites as the Balcón del Coño, the Mirador de Ronda, the Convent of Santo Domingo, the Mirador María Auxiliadora and the historic Mondragón Palace, former residence of the Muslim kings. We will end the tour at the Church of Santa María la Mayor, one of the most important and historically significant churches in the city.
