Triana is much more than just a neighbourhood: it is soul, history and flamenco. Its origins date back to the founding of Seville by the Phoenician merchant Melkart, later known as Hercules, and since then it has been the cradle of traditions that define the city’s identity.
On this circular route through Triana, Naturanda invites you to discover one of Seville’s most charismatic and authentic neighbourhoods. We will stroll through its most emblematic streets while revealing stories, legends and anecdotes that have marked its past. We will learn about Triana’s duality: to the south, its old port; to the north, its industrial past, always linked to the Guadalquivir River.
During the tour, we will visit essential sites such as the Capillita del Carmen chapel, the Triana Market, the Castle of San Jorge, the Church of Santa Ana, the Casa de la Esperanza de Triana and the legendary Cava de los Gitanos, considered the birthplace of flamenco. A neighbourhood steeped in tradition, home to potters, sailors and a Holy Week celebrated with passion.
We will walk along the famous Calle Betis, with spectacular views of the river and the Triana Bridge, and discover historic spots such as the Patio de Monipodio and the old University of Mareantes.
The experience culminates with an exciting flamenco show at the Sala Flamenca Almoraima, where you will feel the power and spirit of one of Andalusia’s most universal arts live.
