This tour of Porto brings together the best of the city in a panoramic tour by air-conditioned minibus and a guided walking tour of the most iconic sites in Porto’s historic centre, accompanied by an expert guide.
After meeting at the starting point, you’ll set off on a fascinating tour through the heart of the city. Admire the impressive Avenida dos Aliados, one of Porto’s most iconic landmarks, and take in the iconic Clérigos Tower, the city’s symbol. During the tour, you’ll also discover unique spots such as Porto’s famous Art Deco McDonald’s, considered one of the most beautiful in the world.
The tour continues to the iconic São Bento Station, famous for its spectacular Portuguese tile panels depicting key moments in Portugal’s history and culture. Next, you’ll visit the exterior of Porto Cathedral, one of the city’s oldest monuments, where you’ll enjoy unforgettable panoramic views of Porto. You’ll also walk along the historic Fernandino Wall, another of the old town’s major attractions.
From Praça da Batalha, you’ll board the minibus again to continue on to Vila Nova de Gaia, home to Porto’s famous wine cellars. No visit to Porto would be complete without discovering the region’s most iconic product: Port wine.
You’ll enjoy a guided tour of a traditional winery, where you’ll learn about the history, secrets and production process of this renowned Portuguese wine. The experience will conclude with a Port wine tasting, where you’ll sample three different varieties whilst discovering their unique aromas and nuances.
